abstract = {The open-source discovery tool VuFind enhances library catalogs, providing a futuristic search interface and enabling users to access resources efficiently, perform real-time availability checks, and utilize advanced features. This case study describes the successful integration of VuFind with three distinct Koha Integrated Library Systems (ILS) at the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta, where the first author had worked previously. The study outlines the techniques, including protocols like OAI-PMH and REST API, emphasizing secure information transactions. Also, it demonstrates the significant impact of creating a unified catalog interface on user satisfaction, benefits reaped, and challenges encountered during the accomplishment of this task. This integration prototype offers comprehensive access to diverse library resources and serves as a valuable guide for institutions seeking to enhance their library systems with open-source solutions like VuFind.},

abstract = {Until quite recently, the most important thing for a newcomer to Web could do in order to prepare a website or your personal blog was to learn programming and markup languages such as PHP, Perl, .Net and HTML. Even after that, it would take hours of skilled programming and patience to setup a good website or Web Application. But in recent years the open-source community has been working hard in pulling out the programming world out of its dark ages by providing a flexible framework for building a website. Drupal is one such result of this software development evolution. This article focuses on the features, advantages, beginner level aspects, and its installation procedure.},

abstract = {The aim of this paper is to conduct a bibliometric study to investigate the research output of library and information science in India. The SCOPUS database was selected to collect data from 2011 to 2020. Collected data was analysed on various parameters such as authorship pattern, year wise contribution of articles, most cited articles, top journals, top authors, document types, etc. The study found that in year 2019 Indian author contributed 471 research papers which 21.8% and highest in 10 years. Again in 2019, double authored article was highest in number with total of 252 articles. In periods of 10 years, about 2159 Indian articles were published with international collaboration. The growth of LIS research has been observed to bincreasing till 2019, but decrease in 2020 possibly due to the Covid pandemic.},

The study of Big Data Analytics began in the last few years and has gained tremendous traction in a short period of time. It is now widely regarded as one of the most important developing study areas in computer sciences and related disciplines. The data has been obtained from the Scopus Database and excel and VOSviewer software used for the analysis; a total of 2304 research papers were evaluated. The study examines total output, growth in output, authorship and collaboration patterns at the country level, major contributors (countries, institutions, and individuals), top publication sources, analytical trends, and highly cited papers. The study explored continuous growth in the literature of Big data analytics.},

abstract = {The idea of sustainable development and eco-friendly, green working places has been a topic of discussion from a long time, and it is the need of the time as well. Many colleges and universities have adopted environment studies and sustainability in their course curriculum and routine operations. These institutions of higher education and their affiliated bodies must take the leadership role in making a sustainable society in a similar way that it did in space race and in cancer research. Libraries also play a vital role in supporting this mission and take active part in environmental education. Librarians and administrators have taken green building initiatives to a large extent, Since the librarians are among the few first to adopt with new technological developments, they can exploit smart devices and technologies like Internet of Things (IoT) in making a green and sustainable library infrastructure. Internet of Things popularly known as IoT, undoubtedly, it is a breath-taking concept and a revolution of the Internet environment. The internet of things, or IoT, is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the caliber to disposal data upon a network except clam human or computer interaction. IoT (Internet of Things) diversifies the future Internet, and has drawn much attention. As more and more gadgets connected to the Internet, the huge amount of data exchanged has reached an unprecedented level. This research adopts the concept of the “Internet of Things” to construct a green campus environment which will realize the idea of energy saving. This paper focuses on the IoT communication scenarios and investigates the challenges or the barriers to the large-scale. Explains term “Green” and special challenges met by libraries to be Green. The making of green library is approaching a tipping point, generating a Green Library Movement, which is ancillary of librarians, libraries, college and university campuses committed to greening libraries. There can be lot of usage of IoT and smart devices in making a greener and more sustainable library environment.},

On the premise, in today's world even large learning management systems are trying to cooperate with each other in order to perform the best. Research has been done on various protocols and standards for information exchange between these learning management systems. Mapping & ability to work in different systems, that is why gigantic software companies which provide learning applications and academic institutions which host their learning management environment are coming forward to adopt with these standards of learning tools interoperability. This creates opportunities for teacher and students to connect, collaborate and share information in their learning practices, which makes it more relevant in open learning environment, were interaction between teachers and students is crucial.},

abstract = {Most of the academic libraries in India have budget constraints due to which they lack IT infrastructure , and ultimately it becomes a hurdle in giving effective user services. The combination of limited funding and below-average technical knowledge of staff can be a devastating combination for any institution, but for someone who is not ready to compromise with limitations and happy in experimenting and exploring new possibilities, thereis no big worry. With right information at right time, everything can be achieved. Technology is such a savior for humanity and keeps on changing-. Raspberry Pi is one such constructive innovation which has transformed the landscape for programmers to gadget lovers. Because it is so powerful, flexible and adaptable, it became very popular worldwide.Librarians around the globe have also greeted this new tech tool enthusiastically, and are experimenting in different projects. With the emergence of ICT, libraries in future will be more content rich, more user-friendly, more interactive and digital in all aspects, but only having number of servers or collection of E-Books servers doesn't make digitally future proof unless a fully paperless and eco-friendly workspace is developed. This articleis aimed at library professionals who are new to Raspberry Pi and it attempts to elaborate the use of this miniature marvel in institutional and public libraries using a case study at IIAS Library.},
